The first edition of Duemila30 Lab brought ten international filmmakers to Cassine for a transformative 10-day residency. Together with the local community, they created six short films and one documentary, blending local stories with global perspectives. Participants explored Cassine’s rich history, folklore, and culture through workshops, site visits, and community engagement.
The residency culminated in a breathtaking final event at the historic Church of San Francesco, where the works were screened for an enthusiastic audience of residents and local leaders. The films captured the essence of Cassine while fostering cross-cultural dialogue and promoting the region’s unique identity on an international stage. Beyond the art, the experience strengthened ties between filmmakers and the community, proving that collaboration and storytelling can bridge worlds.
